To help you understand your audio speaker options we have setup a few categories for you to look at and be more informed and to what each type of speaker does.
Trapezoid Speakers aka Tripod speakers can be placed on stands, or on top of subwoofers. The idea is to get the horn (high frequencies above listeners ears for a well balanced sound. these speakers also usually have the ability to be used as stage monitor wedges and delay speakers in a larger room. They can be self powered or unpowered that use an external amplifier.
Ground Stack speakers are a great way to get a medium sized event sound when flying the audio in the air is not available. typically when a live music event is happening you need more than just speakers on tripod stands. Ground stack gives the audio power needed to cover the audio listeners experience with the sound and feel of a small live concert. Ground stacks can be subwoofers with line array tops or trapezoid tops stacked on top of the subwoofers.
Flown Line Array speakers provide a clean siteline of the stage and give the fullest audience coverage. Line Array are a focusable audio speaker giving the Audio Engineer the ability to focus the sound to the coverage area. They can be used for any event from Live Concert to Corporate Meetings and will always be the best choice when clean audience coverage is needed. Stacked or flown Line Array Speakers are a great choice for your event.
